Beyond standard memo: the longer-term and event-driven placement programs MDJ runs for select retail partners.
For partner-hosted trunk shows, anniversary events, and seasonal openings: MDJ ships a curated selection (typically 20–40 pieces) for the event window, with on-site support available for major events. Pieces returned at the close of the event; sold pieces convert at standard wholesale.
Showpiece-grade pieces placed in partner windows for 60-day rotations. Used by partners who want to anchor their visual identity around exceptional pieces without owning them outright. Window pieces are insured by MDJ and rotated quarterly.
Long-form placement of multiple pieces (typically 50+) for partners with high-net-worth client books. Pieces stay on your vault floor for 90 to 180 days, with monthly rotations of new acquisitions and pulls of pieces that haven't moved.
Standard memo is the default and works for the majority of partner needs - request a piece, sell it or return it, ten days. But some partners benefit from a longer or more curated arrangement: the partner whose biggest annual moment is a fall trunk show; the partner whose window is the destination for HNW shoppers; the partner whose vault clients expect to see something extraordinary on every visit.
The three placement programs above are how MDJ extends inventory access for those partners. They're not advertised, they're not standard, and they're not for everyone. The right starting point is a phone call with Managing Partner Dominic Anthony Mainella to talk about whether the program profile fits your floor.
Inventory placement programs are by conversation, not application. Call to discuss whether your floor profile fits.
